Reverend Dr Muriel Joyce Arnold was born in Jamaica, West Indies where she accepted the Lord as her Savior when she was 12 years old. She received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other languages at 16. When she was 17 years old the Spirit of the Lord spoke to her while she taught a Sunday School class, and said, "I am sending you to Africa as a Missionary." Her family gave her full support and sent her off to London to be trained as a Registered Nurse and later a Certified Midwife. The call to go to Africa rested heavily upon her, and she entered Bible School to gain deeper Biblical knowledge. Within 6 months after graduation, Reverend Arnold and her late husband Bishop Dr Selwyn Arnold were appointed to pioneer the Church of God in Ghana.
The Arnolds spent 8 years planting Churches, evangelizing, built Ghana Bible Institute, and a Medical Clinic. They went on Furlough to Lee University and were later assigned to Nigeria for 8 years, restructuring the Bible College and having it accredited, building several churches and a Medical Clinic. It was in Nigeria that our union was blessed with a lovely son, Selwyn Jr.
Dr Arnold was specially gifted in guiding Women in developing their gifts and talents, and taught crafts and cookery in addition to her supportive teaching ministry in the Bible Institutions. Dr Arnold accompanied her late Husband to United kingdom who served as National Administrative Bishop of England and Wales. The Department of Women's Ministries experienced a cloudburst of growth and blessing under her leadership. She was instrumental in obtaining funds to develop 2 Senior Citizens Homes costing over 3 million Dollars. Several Day Care and Senior Activity Centers developed as a result of this. In 1995, a Doctor of Education Degree was conferred upon Reverend Muriel Joyce Arnold by the European Seminary and College of the Bible. After 10 years the Arnolds were transferred to Untied States and served three and and a half years in Connecticut as District Bishop, and later transferred to New Jersey as State Administrative Bishop. Reverend Dr Muriel Arnold continued her ministry among Women and Girls successfully. She also planted another church in one of the cities of New Jersey. She has ministered the Word of God in Jamaica, Ghana, Nigeria, Canada, Namibia, Trinidad & Tobago, US Virgin Islands, Barbados, United Kingdom, and conducted Marriage Retreats and Seminars. Dr Arnold is not shy with the Word, but bold through the Holy Ghost.
